Forty-one teams launched out of PB#2 at 6:30 P.M. for the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament and returned for the 10:00 P.M. weigh-in hoping their limit would put them in the top six places. The bite and weights, however, were down compared to the last several weeks. A high pressure front moved into the area, which could possibly be the reason for the lower weights, but that's just an uneducated opinion.
Although the limits were not in the 18 to 20 pound range as they were the last two or three weeks there were fourteen bass over 4 pounds weighed, which included six over 5 pounds, one being big bass of the tournament weighing in at 5.30 pounds. The most consistent bite continues to be on jigs, plastic baits and crank baits worked anywhere from 8 to 25 feet.
