Water Color clear
Water Conditions clear and low perfect for fly fishing
Air Temperature 90's
Wind Condition note to 15mph

Water is still very low and clear, but it has been some of the best beetle, ant and crackleback
fishing that I can remember, you can go down in the evenings and catch trout till
you are wore out.
9' 7X leaders are best right now, been catching my fish on big beetles, and hoppers, stimulators
ants, renegades, adams, caddis and cracklebacks.
2lb, 7X tippet is best all the time right now, you can fish 8X and probably get more strikes, but
you may have to tie on a bit more, now is the time to fish your 0,1,2, and 3 wt rods, it is a great
time to be fishing dries.
Nymphs are still good if you just want to catch fish, small pheasant tail, zebra midges, burlaps, sow
bugs, and copper johns will work all day, I've been fishing a prince nymph some, I think they hit
tne princes now for a drowned beetle.
Glo-balls, san juan worms, woolybuggers, wooly worms, fur bugs, and thread jigs are all working well.
Power eggs and power worms are all working well, the best colors are cheese yellow, white, orange,
hatch brown and pink has been working well. Very important with the low clear water that you only
use a good premium line, do not use stren, or tri-lene in the clear or clear blue or in the flo. colors.
The best lines will be .004 or .005 in diameter and will be made to be ultragreen or fluorocarbon clear.
2 or 3lb line are best, 4 lb is to heavy right now.
A lot of nice fish are being caught on small crankbaits and still a few being caught on small spoons.
Roostertails in black, brown, white, and frog green are working best.
If you are fishing in zone 3 then the best bet would be night crawlers and power bait paste, corn
will also work well in zone 3, good luck on the river this week.
